#CAR 6
As we found in Indonesia which is the same as in Kenya. Schools are lack of communicative and linguistic competence that bring a big impact to their students’ ability of speaking. This research wanted to prove the theory from Krashen (1985) that students will achieve the learning target when they’re motivated annd actively involved in the learnig process. According to many researchers, the reasons for poor speaking skills could cause by the lack of emphasis on speaking skills in the curriculum since it is not examined in national examinations.

Some factors causing speaking difficulties such as : students are worried about making mistakes, fearful of criticism, or simply shy. Students have no motivation to express themselve, only one participant can talk at a time because of large classes.Learners who share the same mother tongue tend to use it because it is easier and because they feel less exposed if they speak their mother tongue (Hosni, 2014: 123).
The teacher may used drama, debate, role play and disscusion but they used the certain mode of delivery and preferences that still couldn’t improve students motivation to speak. While in Kenya there are no tecahers who try t use Short stories, oral narrative, language games and songs in classroom activities. In fact we all know that this way can be more interesting rather than the previous one.
So i think the teachers have to give their students more chance to speak equaly, since K13 is a students center strategies, means that the students will involved actively in the class.
