Using Communicative Games in Improving Students’ Speaking Skills.

I’ve read about journal entitled Using Communicative Games in Improving Students’ Speaking Skills. This journal explain that the researcher found any difficulties for students to learn speaking, because they’re afraid of making mistakes, being laughed by their friends and mistake about using the wrong grammar. The students not confident when expressing their idea due to the lack of vocabularies that they have. Then the researcher decided to use a game as the media for sudents in learning speaking, because by this communicative approach they will not focus on fluency and accuracy but the message that they want to deliver and also it will increase their motivation and interest in learning speaking. Game that used by the researcher was communicative game, it’s a set of well fun-design activities which can stimulate students’ interaction in the classroom.These games require them to take part actively in classroom by speaking and writing in order to express their point of view or give information. More than that, students’ confidence will be automatically formed due to its concept in building habits of interaction. In the end of research, the researcher finally proved that this communicative games increased students’ score and ability in speaking english, because they enjoyed the process of teaching learning and had more confidence.

I think this research is interesting, because i plan to use such kind of method to teach students in my future class. I still consider about this topic to use it as my research topic soon. But i didnt get enough information yet about what kind of games that can be used in speaking class. After read this journal, i start to look for another journal about using game in speaking class to get more reference for my research.
